My Afghanistan Journal

The opinions expressed on this blog are my own and not the views of ISAF Public Affairs. My goal is to simply inform those who have never been in the military or those who have never been deployed to Afghanistan what life is like here. I hope you enjoy My Afghanistan Journal.

About Me

My photo
LT Dave Hecht
Kabul, Afghanistan
My name is Dave Hecht and I am a Public Affairs Officer in the United States Navy. I'm currently serving in Afghanistan with NATO Forces out of Kabul. I'm married to my best friend and we have two of the greatest kids on Earth. It's going to be a long 10-months away from the people I love the most, but I'm getting a chance to serve my country while seeing history from the front lines. Please continue to check out my blog so you can read about my experiences and hear the truth about the progress our military is bringing to the people of Afghanistan and the War on Terror.
